New Insurance Program for Severely Injured Servicemembers!

The Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (SGLI) Program is adding coverage for severely injured military personnel, called TSGLI. The coverage becomes automatic on December 1, 2005 and adds $1.00 to the annual premium for active and reserve troops with full-time coverage and $1.00 per year for reservists with part-time coverage. Benefits are retroactive to 1 October 2001. Beneficiaries are not covered, and the insurance cannot be declined unless all SGLI coverage is declined.
