Internet Helps Air Force Fight Weight

A recent Air Force study demonstrated that the internet can play a significant role in weight loss. In a comprehensive program that included an interactive web-based weight loss program, self-help materials, and periodic telephone check-ins, participants lost significantly more weight than a control program that just received encouragement to lose weight. Those who used the web tools, which included food and exercise tracking, lost the most weight - about 12 pounds.
