National Kids Day, celebrated on the first Sunday each August, is a day to foster relationships between adults and children. This day is an opportunity to celebrate childhood, to demonstrate a commitment to nurturing children and to prepare them for their future. The mission of National Kids Day is to educate children and adults, and to build awareness on the importance of spending meaningful time together. The sponsors of this day create local events across the nation to allow parents and caregivers to interact and inspire children, and spend a day together
