Deployment: Pakistan

Environmental health factors posing the greatest risk (in descending order) to forces deployed to Pakistan include: contamination of water supplies with untreated sewage and industrial wastes, diurnal temperature extremes, localized air pollution, frequent dust storms in the southeast contaminated seafood, wheat, fruits, and vegetables, high altitude primarily in the mountain ranges.
Pre-deployment immunizations for all personnel include Hepatitis A, MMR, Td and Influenza. Selected personnel may require other vaccines as dictated by appropriate medical authority.
