Environmental health factors posing the greatest risk (in descending order) to forces deployed to Kazakhstan include: water contamination from industrial and municipal sources, air pollution in major industrialized urban areas, and radiological and chemical contamination of military test sites.
Pre-deployment immunizations for all personnel include Hepatitis A, MMR, td Influenza and Typhoid. Selected personnel may require other vaccines as dictated by appropriate medical authority.
